Admissions

The application deadline is January 15 for admission beginning in the upcoming fall semester of the year. We do not accept students for spring or summer admission.

The Graduate School at North Carolina State University utilizes an online only application process that requires you to create an Application Account. For more information on the application process, please visit The Graduate School website

Helpful links regarding Financing Grad SchoolInternational Students, NC Residency, Priority Deadlines, Apply and Check Application can be found under the Prospective Students landing page.

For questions about the online process or if you experience any technical issues, please contact the Graduate School directly as CRDM staff cannot assist with these issues. If you have questions about academic program requirements, please, email CRDM at crdm-inquiries@ncsu.eduPlease do not email or send via post/overnight service, transcripts or other hard-copy application materials to the CRDM office unless requested.

Given the time it takes time for your application to migrate through both the Graduate School system and our program's application center, it is recommended you begin the application process at least four months prior to the deadline. Carefully prepare your materials before uploading. You should consider combining your transcript copies and writing samples into PDFs as upload options are limited. Be advised, should you delay preparation, your recommendation letters and other required application components may not arrive by our deadline.
