Carolina Hurricanes: Affectionately referred to as “the Canes,” the Hurricanes are the professional hockey team based in Raleigh. The 2026 Stanley Cup Winner Hurricanes are part of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference of the NHL.

Carolina League Baseball: North Carolina and the broader surrounding region feature several Single-A (Low-A) Minor League Baseball teams.

Carolina Panthers: Based in Charlotte, NC, the Panthers are Carolina’s NFL team.

Coastal Plain League: This League is the nation’s premier and most innovative summer collegiate baseball league. The Salamanders play in North Main Athletic Complex Stadium in Holly Springs, NC.

Durham Bulls: Originally founded in 1902, the Durham Bulls play in the highest class of Minor League Baseball, Triple-A. Hundreds of Bulls players have gone on to play in the Major Leagues.

North Carolina FC: Previously the Carolina RailHawks, the North Carolina Football Club is part of the USL (United Soccer League) Championship league.
