Hannah Mayfield’s research largely focuses on writing and composition, critical media studies, and fan studies. More specifically, she is interested in embodiment, materiality, and affect, asking how we creatively and critically engage with composition and craft using our bodies. As an acafan, she is especially interested in how our corporeality and gender are treated in media fandom and other forms of mediated experience.
