Biography

Calvin Olsen is a first year doctoral student in Communication, Rhetoric, & Digital Media. He is a graduate teaching assistant in the First Year Writing Program as well as a Graduate Research & Instruction Assistant at the NCSU Libraries Innovation Studio. His research interests include Visual Rhetoric, Victorian Literature, Poetics, and intersections between Medical and Digital Humanities.

Calvin is also an internationally-published poet and translator. His work has appeared in AGNIAsymptoteThe London Magazine, The National Poetry Review, International Poetry Review, and many others. A former Robert Pinsky Global Fellow and recent Pushcart Prize nominee, Calvin is currently the poetry editor for The Carolina Quarterly
