On April 28, 2011, Dr. Jennifer Daryl Slack gave a talk on her theoretical work from her semester as a visting professor in the Communication Department, and with CRDM program. Her talk was entitled "The Problematics of Digital Media" and explored the changing landscape of many aspects of human life in the context of digital media.

Dr. Jennifer Daryl Slack, Professor of Communication and Cultural Studies at Michigan Technological University, was been a Visiting Professor in the Department of Communication during Spring of 2011. Dr. Slack taught a graduate course, "Communication, Culture, and Technology," while working on several new articles on media theory.
